Chiang Mai is a region renowned for its treks in the surrounding jungle, as well as for the moving encounter with Elephants. It is difficult to spend several days observing wild Asian Elephants in their natural environment. This is why most tourists prefer to meet these pachyderms in camps located in the jungle. Who better than Loolu, a bubbling young Karen born in the region, to introduce you to the largest land mammal? Such an encounter will always be etched in your mind. Three options are offered by Loolu Tour:

• Spend half a day or full day in an Elephant camp (Loolu Elephant Camp);

• Devote a whole day to many activities including meeting Elephants (Loolu Elephant Relax 1D);

• Or go on a 2-day trek while sleeping with the locals (the Loolu Karen family), including meeting Elephants (Loolu Nature Discovery 2D).

Warning: the camp Loolu is going to does not go on an Elephant ride (and even less by using nacelles)! It is a small family camp, managed by the Karen community, where these majestic animals are not over-exploited (limitation of the number of tourists).

In addition, it should be noted that there is more than an hour's drive to get there (and therefore nearly 2h30 round trip). This is why we recommend a day trip or even a 2-day trek instead of a half-day trip only.
